Geometry and technology: A bibliometric study
Keywords:
Geometry, Technology, Bibliometric analysisAbstract
A bibliometric study was carried out with 356 indexed research articles on geometry and technology. With results obtained from the search on the Dimensions.ai platform. The sample studied was analyzed with Bibliometrix, with the purpose of sharing information about research trends in geometry and technology. The analysis covers a period from 2019 to 2023, highlighting a growth in research in 2020, and also states that the main countries immersed in scientific production along these lines are the United States and China respectively. On the other hand, Mexico stands out for having a high average of 52.50 in the most cited countries. The main journals in production exposed by the analysis are the “International Journal of Math Education in Science and Technology”, followed by “Digital Experiences in Math Education” and “Geometry & Graphics”; Despite not occupying the first places, “computers & edication” stands out for the publication of the article authored by “Ibañez et al. (2020) with a total of 103 citations, appearing as the most cited. Due to their production, authors such as Alves Frv stand out with 4 documents, Ng O with 4 and Bozkurt g with 3 articles publishing from the aforementioned countries. Recurrent terms such as “students, learning and geometry” are emphasized. In conclusion, this detailed analysis mentions the significant link between geometry and technology, evidenced by the interest shown by these scientists and future researchers.
